The University of Arizona recently hosted a two-day conference in Tucson. The conference focused on identifying and developing collaborative proposals to the Directorate of Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) at the National Science Foundation (NSF).

“The conference was well attended and we were pleased to welcome CISE investigators from institutions and organizations throughout the southwestern U.S.,” said University of Arizona Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering Vignesh Subbian, principal investigator for the effort and also an associate professor of systems and industrial engineering. “We had representation from 15 Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). Many collaborations were created over the two days and our next steps are two virtual workshops in the next few months.”

If you are an investigator from a Southwest institution (including but not limited to AZ, CA, NM, NV, TX), you can join the CISE Southwest Community of Support, which provides information and resources for proposal development related to research expansion: https://tinyurl.com/join-cise-southwest

I really love reading this blog, empowering early career researchers and fostering collaboration among diverse institutions is a great step toward. Such initiatives will bridge gaps in access to opportunities and mentorship. Just as students rely on an affordable assignment help company to support their academic journey, aspiring investigators benefit from accessible research support. Continued investment in inclusive growth will shape a stronger more innovative future.
